Homeschool Learing Pod
Starting in Fall of 2026, we will be launching a pilot of a homeschool learning pod. The Learning Pod will tentatively be available for 8 homeschool students ages 6-10yrs old and will consist of an academic tutoring session and farm/forest outdoor activities. It is planned to be 2 days a week, approximately 4hrs/day, for 10week sessions.
Please contact us if your family is interested in being a part of our pilot.

Purpose:
Our purpose in offering this opportunity is to equip children with their own personal experiences in nature and farming. Our hope is that it serves them as it has us, to bring peace, joy, and a fullness to their understanding of the world that points back to God.

What the Kids get out of it:
-
A safe space to engage with nature, where they will be supervised but have the freedom to explore with friends.
-
A taste of routine farm chores.
-
Education and experience in animal interactions of many kinds.
-
A broad of a range of nature experiences utilizing the farm, varied natural ecosystems, and seasonal changes.
-
Emphasis on the responsibility and importance of stewardship.
Academics
Our tutoring is intended to be a high-quality supplement to a regular homeschooling curriculum. A little professional help to identify any blind spots, give suggestion, and give peace of mind to homeschool parents.

We are looking for a professional teacher or tutor to be our partner. We offer competitive pay including office hours. Contact us for full job description.

The Farm
We are a non-profit focused on Agricultural Education in the context of a regenerative family farm, which means we work to integrate our livestock into our natural ecosystems. It also means educational experiences are our primary purpose.
Our animals are kid-focused first, many are intentionally smaller, more friendly, and reproduce quickly so we have many baby animals on the farm. They are also selected for temperament and consistently handled by children. We have a mini-horse, Nigerian and Angora Goats, Kune Kune Pigs, Angora Rabbits, laying hens, barn cat, and farm dog. We can also visit neighboring Jersey and Dexter cows. The animals are used for agritourism, meat, eggs, milk, and fiber production. One of the fun things we get to do is share our animals via our travelling petting zoo. These are fun and proud moments for our kids to get to give back to the community.

The Forest
The 50 acre property has a variety of different ecosystems, allowing many different experiences within a distance that can be easily hiked and explored by children. Some areas include wetlands, hardwood forests, pine forests, pastures, gardens, prairies, streams, dense thickets, and a fishing pond. Many of Ohio’s native species are found on the farm.
